IT Specialist - WebSphere 

Candle (Canberra)
Work within one of Canberra's large Government departments as their WebSphere Specialist. You will be responsible for Installation; Patching and upgrades; Performance Tuning; Scripting and Documentation.

Key duties:
  • Middleware technical resource on new application projects and for Problem resolution teams
  • Resolution of Incidents
  • Support for Changes and Releases
  • SME support
Required skills and experiences:
  • Experience supporting the WebSphere Suite of Products.
  • Experience with Unix systems.
  • Good communication skills, both verbal & written.
  • Excellent fault finding & problem analysis.
  • Ability to prioritise work loads in a complex environment and work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to liaise with technical outsource s.
  • ITIL framework
Desirable:
  • Experience with the Intel/Windows.
  • Familiarity with Incident & Problem Management Processes.
  • Experience with Shell Scripting, JACL Scripting & Rational Buildforge.
  • Experience with one or more for the following: Java, XML Forms, HTML and JavaScript.
